This post should be called: We love to eat good food.
Is it weird to have an entire post dedicated to food?? It was one of our favorite things about Puerto Rico...

Most of these Caribbean towns quiet down at night, and so does this one for the most part, but luckily our phones worked in PR so we were able to look up great restaurants to go to. The best part is that most of them were serious dives. Like smaller than dives. But each was equally amazing.

The first place we found was Bebos BBQ. We actually drove by it on the freeway by the car rental place and I made Ryan drive back and take me there for our first meal. I could tell Ryan was totally skeptical, but I could tell just by the looks of the place (and the lines of locals) that this was a HOT spot. Boy was I right!! (We actually came back here on our last day on the way to the airport because the food was that good).

This place was AWESOME.

This next place we ate at was SO Romantic! It was a quaint little place, open air, with a guy playing his guitar and serenading us. It was just perfect. Oh, and the food was amazing. 

Did I mention we had a friend come dine with us??

We listened to the coqui frogs sing to us all night. it was beautiful.

Breakfast was consumed daily at Isamar Bakery.

  One of our favorite restaurants was this tiny little place: Pasta y Pueblo.  As you can see, it only holds about 4 tables, and when we arrived, there was one empty. However, it was reserved. So we walked away and were asked to come back in an hour. We started walking towards the beach and as soon as I said "it feels like rain" it was POURING. We headed to the car, and at the same time, the waitress ran after us and offered us a table (the people were leaving). We sat outside under a little roof while we waited and laughed about how wet we were! The food was amazing and worth the rain & the wait. The owner/chef is a former surfer and his food is AMAZING. Even the guava cheesecake....

Seriously, this is where we had our favorite meal in Puerto Rico. Looks can be deceiving.

So maybe for the Super Bowl we had pizza...but it was at a Kisosk so that makes it authentic, right?? :)

Another Favorite place was a BBQ restaurant close the Secen Seas beach. This was actually the most restaurant-like place we went to! :) The ribs were AMAZING if any of you were wondering ...

I love eating outside.
